![]() The tire is characterized by high directional stability. Thanks to the special tread pattern, the tire adheres perfectly to the ground, and when driving in the rain, it drains water perfectly, which excludes the possibility of aquaplaning. Predictable and safe driving in all weather conditions. But on asphalt, this pattern and tread configuration provide excellent grip and the resulting benefits. Rubber operation is allowed at speeds up to 140 mph.ĭue to the peculiarities of the tread, these tires are not adapted for use in serious off-road conditions. The manufacturer positions these tires as the optimal solution for heavy and powerful passenger cars. The versatility of operation is achieved by a special tread pattern and rubber composition. Now I know that General Grabbers aren’t on the list of “cool” tires, but I’m happy with them so far. I’ll have to get out the heat gun and bend some plastic. Forward and reverse at full steering lock. For some reason, I’m slightly rubbing on the rear mud flap on the front wheel well. This size wheel/tire combo seem to rub the front mud flap on most setups. They are three peak, but I live where it doesn’t snow, so this doesn’t matter to me. They ride really comfortable (for an AT) out on the highway. They balanced perfect on the first try at Discount Tire. It didn’t stop raining for the first 3 days that the Grabbers were on the truck, so I got to test them on wet streets. The Grabbers are MUCH better on wet streets than the Duratracs or the KO2s. The 4 ply General Grabber ATx is FAR quieter than the GoodYear Duratracs that were on the truck. Maybe the little bit more offset creates more drag. Since the wheel/tire package weighs less than what was on the truck, I’m assuming the mileage loss came from the front of the truck being slightly raised. Me personally, I’m not concerned, but others might be. After all of the reading I have done, I wasn’t expecting a mileage loss with SL tires, but guess what, there is. It’s nothing that 1000’s haven’t already done….Ģ75/70-18 General Grabber ATx in a Standard Load (4 ply) Hope they help someone.Īfter agonizing for months on wheels, tires, and how I was going to slightly lift the front end, I finally came to a conclusion. ![]()
